Drop Me A Line

Drop Me A Line

(Text: Patrick Stoll, Musik: Gregory Wicki)

1. Seems like it’s been ages – drop me a line

Silence is contagious – drop me a line

When nothing seems to come your way

No-one makes you feel at ease

Then I wish you good times, wish you love, yes, I wish you peace

CHORUS:

Doesn’t matter where you are,

Make sure that you are

Never too long in search of the way.

Looking back you may find

That some things will stay with you

Can’t be erased from your mind

They will leave their traces

They will take you to places

We were in love but out of luck

We got so stuck

2. Ever since we parted – drop me a line

I’ve been so downhearted – drop me a line

And the darkening sky above

Amplifies my emotions

Still, I wish you good times,

Wish you peace, yes,

I wish you love

BRIDGE:

Promise me my friend

That you take good care

I know in the end

We will be getting there

CHORUS:

Doesn’t matter where you are,

Make sure that you are

Never too long in search of the way.

Looking back you may find

That some things will stay with you

Can’t be erased from your mind

They will leave their traces

They will take you to places

We were in love but out of luck

We got so stuck

Drop me a line

Drop me a line

Drop me a line

Drop me a line

Drop me a line

Let Me Be Your Problem

Let Me Be Your Problem
(Music: Markus Husi/ Words: Patrick Stoll)

Let me be your problem
I volunteer to be the one
I guess I’m fully qualified
For the job that has to be done
You say you keep having troubles
With all the guys that come along
It’s fairly easy to see that what you really need is me
My whole persuading shouldn’t
Take too long
Don’t you hesitate no more
Just close your eyes and jump

Let me be your problem
You will find I’ll be good for you
Though it sounds like a paradox
Time will tell that I am true

I suppose that one of your problems is
You can’t live on your own
You seem to dread the prospect
Of returning to an empty home – all alone
Though I believe some time of reflection
Would only do you good
Your heart appears determined
For immediate action
So remember I’m the man who could
Be the one who’s there to catch you
Just close your eyes and jump

Let me be your problem
You will find I’ll be good for you
Give me a chance to prove it
Time will tell that I am true

You feel the urge to find a lover
Stop your running for cover
Simply let it be me!

Let me be your problem
You will find the choice is right for you
You don’t know what you’re missing
Time will tell that I am true

Let me be your problem
That’s all I want to do
Time will tell
That I am true

The Mirror

The Mirror
(Music: Markus Husi/ Words: Patrick Stoll)

You were trying so hard to fall in love again
To find that special someone, but your search was in vain
All the people around you were coming up
With some sort of advice
But when it finally happened you were so sure, you didn’t have to think twice

Who do you see in the mirror at night
Who do you see before you turn off the light
Is it the same man looking at you
As when you last checked out this sight

It was a foregone conclusion
When others thought you were down
They simply failed to consider
The times are past when you were a clown
You kept yourself so busy
To stop your heart from yearning too much
But when it finally happened
All it took was the spell of her touch

Who do you see in the mirror at night
Who do you see before you turn off the light
Is it the same man looking at you
As when you last checked out this sight

You cherish her style, her sense of beauty, her humour and good heart
She makes you smile with confidence
Even when you are apart

To cut a long story short now
It’s plain to see the love he’s in
This guy is wildly determined
To stand by her through thick and thin
Call him a hopeless romantic, say he’s naïve and an old-fashioned fool
Then he will only reply: «Think what you will
‘Cause for me it feels cool»

Who do you see in the mirror at night
Who do you see before you turn off the light
Is it the same man looking at you
As when you last checked out this sight
By no means the same man looking at you
As when you last checked out this sight
It ain’t the same man looking at you
As when you last checked out this sight
Just not the same man looking at you
As when you last checked out this sight

A Story To Tell

A Story To Tell
(Music: Markus Husi/ Words: Patrick Stoll)

They travelled to the same place
From different corners of the world
They didn’t know of one another
He never thought he’d meet that girl
She wasn’t looking for a lover, she had other things in mind

Somehow their ways would lead together
Call it coincidence or fate
The timing seemed just perfect
Neither too early nor too late
They didn’t worry ‘bout the future, enjoyed each other day by day

Now all that is left of it is
A story to tell
Each went back with a different version of
A story to tell

Now people say they could have told them
It was too good to be true
This love was bound to end like this
The constellation wasn’t new
But what they don’t know is the sweetness
That was shared between the two

Now all that is left of it is
A story to tell
The memories of a special time and
A story to tell

And looking back they wonder
Was there no way to save this love?
To keep this love from going under and let it stay alive

While he believed they were victims of circumstances too tough
She felt there had to be a way out
If only they tried hard enough
If all good things must come to an end
Then so must the bad things, too

Handle With Care

Handle With Care
(Music: Markus Husi/ Words: Patrick Stoll)

So now it has happened once again
The thing your mind had warned you of before
It’s happened in spite of your defence
Against that thing called love

You never thought you’d fall for it again
From now on this guy is clever enough
Kept telling yourself last time was the end
Of that dangerous thing called love

So you designed yourself a perfect plan
Said «No girl can spoil it, no-one can»
Oh, in the future you were gonna be tough
When it came to the thing called love

Starting out, your plan worked very well
No stranger would dare and ever try
Considered yourself to be the living proof
Of what they call «Once bitten, twice shy»

You never thought you’d fall for it again
From now on this guy is clever enough
To stay away from something that only brings pain
Talking ‘bout that mean old thing called love

But along comes this woman
You can see she’s got something to share
As she then starts battering your old defences
Your heart worries
Will it be handled with care?

Look at you still struggling to maintain your reluctance
Isn’t it a classic case of push and shove
Let’s face it: you’re fighting a losing battle
You’ll have to give in to the thing called love

Now that everything is so fresh and new
Avoid the old mistakes that once led you there
Knowing that the damage is so easily done
When it comes to hearts, remember
Handle with care

But along comes this woman
You can see she’s got something to share
As she then starts battering your old defences
Your heart worries
Will it be handled with care?

Handle with care – that’s what you need
Handle with care – is all you’re asking for
Handle with care – that’s what you want
Handle with care – and nothing more
